What's Nearby?
The area surrounding Merlindale has been designated a National Scenic Area in the Scottish Borders.
Within a gentle stroll from the house there is Merlin's Grave by the Tweed and various local sights which are associated with Merlin.
The cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are within easy driving distance, both destinations are celebrated for their rich heritage of art, architecture and culture.
The Scottish Borders offer a myriad of sporting activities. There is salmon and trout fishing, pheasant, partridge and duck shooting; walking (straight from our back door), riding, golfing and cycling.
There are many tourist attractions to visit within a few miles that would cater for all tastes; from country houses like Traquair, to Botanic Gardens like Dawyck and many places to walk or admire the views such as St.Mary's Loch.
