Approaching from the South:
Take Junction 15 from the M74 onto the A701 through Moffat (signposted towards Edinburgh).
About 20 miles further along the scenic A701, Just before Broughton, turn right onto the B712, (signposted Peebles and Stobo).
About a mile further on, BEFORE crossing the bridge over the Tweed, turn
left into the drive signed Merlindale and drive up to the front of the
house.
Approaching from the Edinburgh ring road:
From the A720, take the A701 signposted Carlisle.
Continue down the A701 for about 25 miles. Once you have passed through Broughton, after 1.5 miles approx, look for a left hand turn signposted Peebles and Stobo, B712. Then follow directions as above.
In any case, if you reach Drumelzier from the SW direction you have gone TOO FAR!!
